Loch Ryan Sailing Club

The Loch Ryan Sailing Club dates back to 1844 and events have continued at Loch Ryan ever since, aside from a break during World War II and until 1951 when the club was re-established to take advantage of the wonderful sailing opportunities offered by the loch. In 2018 the Club moved back into the town of Stranraer and now works with SWSA to provide watersports opportunities for all.

When we meet & What we do

Day: Sunday

Time: 9.00 am

What do we do: At LRSC we meet informally to get out there on the water. Sometimes we take to the water to race, sometimes we just go for a nice day of sailing on the loch

How to get involved

To get involved come along to the SWSA Office on Sundays where one of our members will be happy to help you get out on the water.

Novice sailors may need some assistance from our more experienced sailors before making their way onto the water solo.

Experienced sailors can arrange a direct assessment to determine whether they are competent enough sailors to head onto the water themselves.

Further training

At SWSA we are proud to offer both RYA Levels and Stages, find out more by clicking the link below.
